As I am always looking for new ways, to promote our label and artist. I run across a lot of Internet marketing & promo companies. A new one I've decided to try is www.BoostSocialMedia.net, they seem to have a variety of services for small businesses. They promote for musicians, as they promote for facebook and sound cloud likes. I'm suspect of trying a lot of these similar sites, but was comfortable with the direct responses to my questions.

N.F.L. won't pop tag for Eminem
If you are looking to book Eminem for your fancy shindig it’s going to cost you a lot of money. That’s what the NFL owners found out when they requested his presence for an event.
According to TMZ, the owners were looking for a big-name act to perform at their special party during Super Bowl week in January 2014. Reps for the event talked to Eminem’s people who wanted a $2 million performance fee upfront.
Apparently, the NFL owners thought the fee was excessively high and they declined. Fellow rapperKanye West was also turned down after he requested a $1 million performance fee “plus a lot of other perks.”
Honestly, we don’t think Slim Shady or Yeezy’s prices are too high considering that they are two of the biggest rappers in the game right now. These are stadium-drawing performers. What did they expect?
In the end, the NFL owners hired R&B singer Janelle Monae to perform at their event for a paltry $150,000 — a steal in our book.
But we have to say, the ‘Tightrope’ songstress needs better negotiators at the business table because she can easily pull seven-figures for a performance as well.
Nevertheless, Monae puts on a hell of a show so that party will be jumping during Super Bowl 2014.
What do you think? Are the NFL owners cheapskates or is Eminem’s performance fee way too high? Tell us in the comments below.
Target's beef with Beyonce
AP/Rob Hoffman/Invision for Parkwood Entertainment
When pop star Beyonce shocked the world with a self-titled surprise album on Dec. 13, her fans were overjoyed. Who wasn’t thrilled? Target, the retailer who had worked with her on the heavily marketed roll-out of her last release.
+
In response to Beyonce’s decision to go it alone, Target decided that it would not stock the physical album on its shelves, unlike other brick-and-mortar retailers like Wal-Mart. The company said it preferred to carry albums released at the same time in all formats, to give physical sales a fighting chance.
+
This bold rejection of perhaps the most relevant female recording artist is likely designed as a warning to other musicians: If you won’t work with us on exclusive promotional deals to bring people to our stores, we won’t add to your sales. Target is the fourth-largest source of album sales in the US, according to Billboard, but its 5% share of the market is well behind iTunes, Amazon, and Wal-Mart, the top three that control 60% of the music market.
+
That means Target isn’t leaving a lot of revenue on the table with its PR move. Beyonce’s last album, 4, sold 1.4 million units in the US. Assuming that Target sold 5% of them at $12.99, it garnered $909,000 in revenue. (For reference, the company had total sales of $341 million last quarter.) What Target really wants from Beyonce, then, isn’t the money it would make selling her album. It wants the customers enticed into the stores by the exclusive promotions Beyonce denied them.
Beyonce, however, is no fool, and her ersatz publicity stunt is paying off. While 4 was the worst-selling of her studio albums to date, the new surprise album has sold 617,000 copies on iTunes in the first week of its release, already giving it the title of fastest-selling album in the platform’s history.
